Transgender women will no longer be eligible to compete for the United States in the Olympic or Paralympic Games in women's sports, after a policy change from the USOPC.

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee changed its eligibility rules on Monday to comply with President Trump’s executive order, taking the decision away from national governing bodies for each sport.

The U.S. Olympic committee said in its new policy that it was “committed to protecting opportunities for athletes participating in sport."
