It's the mind-bending power and performance figures of the Chevrolet Corvette ZRX1 that have made the headlines over the last few days, and rightly so, but let's not take away the fact that it's also got the visual punch to back up its hypercar-level speed.

The Corvette ZR1X gets an amplified version of the Corvette E-Ray’s hybrid system to reach 60 mph in less than 2 seconds!

Instead, Chevy has gone with the rather uninspiring ZR1X, a name that sounds more like something a Japanese manufacturer would slap on a performance bike. It’s a missed opportunity, especially considering the Zora name would have been a perfect tribute to Zora Arkus-Duntov, the man often hailed as the father of the mid-engine Corvette.
