Xbox and Asus are teaming up to develop the long-rumored Xbox handheld system, as officially confirmed during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025.

Just like the Asus ROG Ally X that came out in July 2024, the Xbox Ally X will have a 1080p display with a 120Hz refresh rate and VRR support through Freesync Premium.

The ROG Ally X model comes with the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Both feature contoured grips, 65W charging support, and the same size display and resolution.

Microsoft Asus and Microsoft have announced two Xbox Ally configurations so far. The base ROG Xbox Ally sports an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16 GB of memory, 512 GB of storage, and a 60 Wh battery.
