Belgian designer Glenn Martens was named creative director of the Paris fashion house Maison Margiela, taking over the position from John Galliano.

The 41-year-old Belgian designer will reportedly continue designing at Diesel while crafting couture collections at the Paris-based label.

Glenn Martens is headed for the top spot at Maison Margiela. The former Y/Project designer and current Diesel artistic director will take over the role of creative director at the brand. He succeeds John Galliano,
