Miami guard Haley Cavinder enjoyed one of her best outings this season as she scored 32 points to lead the Hurricanes to a 70-63 win over the SMU Mustangs.

In the second game, Bradley Central High School graduate Rhyne Howard, who plays for the WNBA's Atlanta Dream, scored 33 points to lead Vinyl to a 79-73 win over Rose. Vinyl was up 67-58 heading into the final quarter and held on for the win. Reese had 10 points and 14 rebounds for Rose.

Brittney Griner plans to sign with the Atlanta Dream, marking the end of her 11-year career with the Phoenix Mercury. Griner announced the move in a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday night, and her agent, Lindsay Kagawa Colas, confirmed to The Associated Press that the star center would sign a one-year deal with Atlanta.
