Racing star Katherine Legge shared what she thought of the criticisms Danica Patrick received as she began her career in NASCAR.
Katherine Legge will become the first female driver to race in a NASCAR Cup Series race since 2018 when she competes in the 2025 Shriner's Children's 500 on Saturday. Legge was born in England, and the 44-year-old has competed in five NASCAR Xfinity Series races in her career.
Legge is the first female driver in the NASCAR Cup Series since Danica Patrick. She got her start in Indy car racing but switched to stock car racing. Patrick first raced for the IndyCar series in 2005 at the Toyota Indy 300.
