Loses to Nashville

Filip Forsberg tallied twice and the Nashville Predators defeated the Seattle Kraken by a 5-3 final on Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena. The result gives the Preds their second consecutive victory and a win on the eve of the NHL Trade Deadline.

Overall, the Kraken's No. 1 goaltender is 21-16-3 with a 2.60 GAA and a .911 save percentage. The Predators are tied for last in NHL scoring, generating only 2.59 goals per game this season.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Filip Forsberg scored two goals and the Nashville Predators beat the Seattle Kraken 5-3 on Thursday night. Brady Skjei scored the first of the Predators' three second-period goals. Forsberg and Michael McCarron also scored in the period, with McCarron's wrap-around goal making it 4-1 with 9 seconds remaining.

The Seattle Kraken took an early lead in the opening minute, but then surrendered four straight goals in a 5-3 loss to the Nashville Predators.

The Predators are coming off a 6-3 win over the Boston Bruins, fueled by three-point performances by Ryan O'Reilly and Steven Stamkos. Nashville (22-32-7, 51 points) is in seventh place in the Central Division, five points ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Seattle started the month of March with a win over Vancouver before falling to Minnesota, 4-3, on Tuesday night. Jared McCann (15g-29a) leads the team with 44 points, followed by Chandler Stephenson (10g-31a) with 41 points and Jaden Schwartz (19g-19a) with 38 points. Joey Daccord is 21-16-3 on the season; Philipp Grubauer is 5-15-1 overall.
