Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick has signed a reserve/future contract with the Los Angeles Chargers. Fitzpatrick spent most of the 2024 regular season on the Chargers’ practice squad after being released by the Steelers in early September.

The Los Angeles Chargers have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick as part of their ten reserve/future signings after their loss on Saturday to the Houston Texans.

The Los Angeles Chargers today activated safety Alohi Gilman from Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return. In addition, the team elevated wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick and safety Eddie Jackson from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.

Fitzpatrick has spent most of the campaign on Los Angeles' practice squad and last played in an NFL game last year, when he logged three special teams snaps and zero offensive snaps in one game with the Steelers.

Fitzpatrick spent most of the 2024 regular season on the Chargers' practice squad after being cut by the Steelers after training camp at the end of August. He was elevated for Week 18 against the Raiders due to Joshua Palmer (foot) being injured,

There's still one game to be played before they have to worry about the playoffs, with the Chargers announcing a slew of moves ahead of Week 18. They activated safety Alohi Gilman from Reserve/Injured. They also elevated wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick and veteran safety Eddie Jackson from the practice squad.
