Jayden Daniels and the Commanders got the better of Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers in the playoffs and Daniels got the better of Mayfield in the initial Pro Bowl voting, but Mayfield will be in Orlando for this week's skills competitions and other festivities.

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that Mayfield has been added to the NFC squad for the 2025 Pro Bowl games, replacing Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, who is unable to participate due to injury. Mayfield had previously been named a first alternate at the position when the Pro Bowl rosters were initially unveiled on January 2.

Just one day after Mike Evans became the Bucs’ third representative in the 2025 Pro Bowl Games, it was announced that his quarterback will be joining him in Orlando.

The Bears quarterback has extra incentive for 2025 after he was the only first-round rookie QB starter who failed to come away with an invitation to the Pro Bowl Games.

Mayfield, previously named a first alternate, joins Jared Goff (Detroit Lions) and Sam Darnold (Minnesota Vikings) as the NFC quarterbacks. Mike Evans from the Bucs was recently added to the roster after CeeDee Lamb's injury, while teammates Vita Vea and Tristan Wirfs already selected.
