Sepp Straka won The American Express by 2 shots Sunday over Justin Thomas, capping his third career PGA Tour victory at 25-under 263 with a final-round 70.

The 31-year-old Austrian won the American Express at PGA West without carding a bogey until the 70th hole of the tournament.

Austria’s Sepp Straka clinched his third PGA Tour title with a two-shot victory at The American Express in California. Heading into Sunday’s final round with a four-shot lead, Straka was able to hold his nerve despite two late dropped shots to get across the line carding two under 70.

Straka played with his first 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour on Sunday, and he managed to maintain control of the tournament until the end.

Straka, who didn't have a bogey in the tournament until Sunday's 16th hole, won for the third time on the PGA Tour and for the first time since the 2023 John Deere Classic.

For the third time in his PGA Tour career, Sepp Straka hoisted a trophy at tournament's end. Converting a four-stroke lead at the 54-hole mark into a victory at the 2025 American Express, Straka fended off a crowded chasing pack headlined by Justin Thomas.

The closest to him was Justin Thomas, who shot a 66 to finish at 23-under. After his great performance, the American golfer emphasized he was close to his opponent, but Straka's advantage before the final round was decisive. The 31-year-old golfer is proud of himself, stressing that he did everything he could.
