Wales were held scoreless for the first time in Six Nations history after being thrashed 43-0 by France. On a raucous Friday night at the Stade de France, there were early warning signs. After just three minutes, French talisman Antoine Dupont took a quick tap 15 metres from the Welsh line after Uini Atonio was upended illegally.

With just six wins from 30 games in his second spell and his side favourites to retain the Six Nations wooden spoon, the outlook is bleak

Gatland will reveal the matchday 23 before lunchtime, with Nick Tompkins and Owen Watkin being tipped to line up in midfield. Watkin has 42 caps, while Tompkins has 38. In contrast, Scarlets duo Joe Roberts and Eddie James, the other centre options in the squad, have two and three respectively.
