The only women’s match featuring Grand Slam singles champions in the third round at the Australian Open turned out to be an overpowering win by Iga Swiatek over Emma Raducanu.

Defending champion Jannik Sinner stormed into the last 16 of the Australian Open, while Iga Swiatek dominated Emma Raducanu to secure her spot in the next round. Joining them in the second week is 38-year-old Gael Monfils and his wife Elina Svitolina also claimed a surprise victory on the same court shortly after.

Jannik Sinner, Iga Swiatek, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur are some of the prominent players who will be in action on the seventh day in Melbourne.
