SALT LAKE CITY — All Hawks guard Trae Young needed was a little bit of time. Jazz guard Collin Sexton nailed a 3-point shot after Hawks guard Dyson Daniels broke up Utah’s original plan to drive inside the paint.

But, thanks to some last second heroics, Young and the Atlanta Hawks are headed home from Salt Lake City with a win.

The Hawks played without second-leading scorer Jalen Johnson (right shoulder inflammation) for the second straight game. The Jazz were without ex-Hawks player John Collins (personal reasons), Keyonte George (left heel) and Brice Sensabaugh, who scored a combined 61 points in the last two games, because of illness.

After imposing his will on offense for four quarters, Atlanta’s Trae Young still had one play left in him with the final seconds ticking off the clock.
