A motorcyclist is in hospital in a serious condition after a crash near Harrogate. The rider was in hurt in the incident in Ripley at about 12:00 GMT on Saturday, according to North Yorkshire Police.

A 22-year-old student, among four students who were stabbed by some unidentified persons at a concert held at Panjab University's South Campus, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, said police.
