KCBX, San Luis Obispo, California’s public radio station is celebrating 50 years of local music, news and NPR programming fueled by community support.

KCBX-FM’s Steve Urbani has his eyes on the radio station’s satellite dish used to connect to National Public Radio programming. The dish is located on Prado Road on Oct. 8, 1980.
