Tenafly native Edan Alexander, who was recently released from Hamas captivity, met with President Trump to celebrate his freedom.

Released after almost two years of captivity, Edan Alexander, joined by his parents, is scheduled to meet with President Trump and the first lady.

Edan Alexander arrived in his hometown of Tenafly, New Jersey, on June 19. He had been held hostage by Hamas and was released on May 12.

Alexander, a New Jersey native, was serving as an Israeli soldier when he was captured by Hamas during the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attacks.

Mr. Alexander, who was held for nearly 600 days before being released in May, is a dual citizen of Israel and the United States. He was in the Israeli military when he was abducted on Oct. 7, 2023.
