Antoni Gaudí, who designed the extraordinary basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, has been declared “Venerable”.

Pope Francis declared venerable the giant of Catalan Modernisme, who infused motifs from nature and Christianity into his Sagrada Família and other landmarks.
