Chicago-born comedian Ken Flores has died at age 28 after reportedly suffering cardiac arrest in his Los Angeles home Tuesday afternoon.

Flores, a beloved figure in L.A. stand-up, was becoming a breakout star at various comedy clubs including Hollywood's Laugh Factory, the Comedy Store and Hollywood Improv. No cause of death was immediately known.
