President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court, claiming that it “has engaged in illegitimate and baseless actions targeting America and our close ally Israel.

The order accuses the International Criminal Court of engaging in “illegitimate and baseless actions targeting America and our close ally.”

The president signed an executive order that said the I.C.C.’s actions against Israel and preliminary investigations into the United States “set a dangerous precedent.”
