The NBA is investigating Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant for a gesture he made at the end of Tuesday's loss to the Golden State Warriors, according to reports.

After the second shot, Grizzlies interim head coach Tuomas Iisalo called for a timeout. As Morant begins to walk toward the Memphis bench, he and Hield, who is still standing up in front of the Warriors bench, make eye contact and are set to gesture toward one another simultaneously.

Warriors reserve Buddy Hield and Grizzlies star Ja Morant made gun gestures at each other late in Tuesday's game, with each receiving a technical foul.

The league also warned the teams, and it's possible the league takes other steps this summer (those two are not the only guys doing it).

Morant doesn't seem to think much of the league looking into his finger gun gesture from Tuesday night. This is, of course, not Morant's first encounter with gun-related issues and the NBA. He was suspended for eight games during the 2022-23 campaign for displaying a gun at a nightclub and was then hit with a 25-game suspension to kick off the following season for displaying a gun on a social media live stream.
