Nissan's merger with Honda is dead, but executives at the former still have big ideas for the two brands collaborating.

The Nissan GT-R will be back and it will be electrified, but it will not be a pure electric sports car because that might impede its ability to set records on the famed Nürburgring.

What exactly the R36 GT-R will be still seems up in the air, but at least we know Nissan is actively working on one.
