In a recent high-level meeting held in Paris, an unexpected plan was shared by the White House that could change how the world sees the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. U.S. officials have put up a fresh peace plan that included the highly contentious notion of acknowledging Russia’s dominance over Crimea.

"Secretary of state Marco Rubio and ambassador Steve Witkoff will travel to Paris, France, 16-18 April for talks with European counterparts to advance President Trump's goal to end the Russia-Ukraine war and stop the bloodshed," the state department said.
