Tom Doxey was president of Breeze Airways, where he led the airline through a successful transformation from a startup to profitability in under two years, Southwest said.

Doxey will also serve as executive vice president when he starts at Southwest (NYSE: LUV) on March 10. Doxey will replace Tammy Romo, a Southwest veteran serving more than 30 years with the airline, who is retiring April 1. She spent more than 10 years as CFO.
