Summer is finally delivering something we haven’t enjoyed in a long time: a long stretch of pleasant weather. Temperatures are comfortable, dew points are low, and rain chances are virtually nonexistent straight through the weekend.

Say goodbye to the rain. It was nice while it lasted, but it wasn't unusual, a meteorologist said. This weekend, the summer heat will return.

Highs will warm a degree or two on Saturday with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.
