Hyundai and Kia — have been targeted by thieves in the last three months. Police offered tips to prevent a theft.

CEDAR LAKE — A police car was totaled during a pursuit this week that reached speeds in excess of 100 mph and weaved its way through a local residential subdivision, police said.

These thefts are happening in Benton Harbor, mainly the city’s south side, as well as Benton Township and St. Joseph Township.
