Wizards Beyond Waverly Place picks up years after the original series. Justin Russo is now a dad, training three young wizards (including his own daughter) while trying to keep the magical world from falling apart.

The spinoff launched on Disney Channel and Disney+ in Oct. 2024 and starred Gomez’s original series’ costar, Henrie. The new series sees Justin adjusting to living with mortality. Alex introduces him to a young wizard-in-training, Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown), who needs his help. Gomez appeared in two episodes of the show’s first season.
