The Timberwolves managed to finish off the Lakers in Game 5 with Edwards dropping 15 points and 11 rebounds in the clincher. As Edwards was taking in some fresh air outside the arena -- and receiving some heckling from Lakers fans -- he dropped a "Boyz n the Hood" reference.

Edwards also called out Stephen A. Smith, Paul Pierce and all of the other analysts at ESPN who counted out Minnesota in this series. They all had the Lakers coming out of this first-round clash, and Edwards and the Wolves just made them eat their words.

The national media widely predicted the Lakers to defeat the Timberwolves. That wasn't far from Anthony Edwards's mind after Wednesday's series-clinching win.
