A monkey discovered during a bizarre traffic stop in Madera County, California, on Tuesday is getting a new home. Officials pulled over a 2022 Rolls Royce Ghost at around 8 p.m. for speeding on Highway 99,

California Highway Patrol officers will be out in force Tuesday and Wednesday aiming to catch impaired drivers.

Ali Mused Adel Mohamed, 27, was busted in his 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost for speeding on SR-99 as he was driving the 1-month-old primate, which was wearing a pink onesie. Mohamed was arrested and charged with DUI and possession of cannabis for sale, the California Highway Patrol said.

The California Highway Patrol had one of its more bizarre traffic stops near the close of 2024 as officers in the Central Valley pulled over a Rolls Royce with a baby monkey in a onesie as a passenger.
