A freshman cornerback for Pittsburgh’s football team is dead after a car crash in Indiana, the team announced. Mason Alexander died in Fishers on Saturday night. He was 18.

Mason Alexander was remembered by HSE Schools as beloved member of the community and known for his kindness, leadership and infectious energy.

A student-athlete who committed to the University of Pittsburgh's football program died on Saturday in a car crash in the state of Indiana. He was identified as Mason Alexander. Alexander was the passenger in a car that attempted to pass another vehicle just before the top of a hill when another vehicle came the opposite way and struck the car that Alexander was in.
