FromSoftware boss and treacherous moon denier Hidetaka Miyazaki has emerged from his Nintendo-nuzzling weasel den to reassure the braying masses that FromSoftware's traditional focus on single player games isn't going dodo just because they so happened to announce two co-op games - Elden Ring Nightreign and The Duskbloods - in the space of five minutes,

The studio is best-known for its single-player games, from its Soulsborne games to the hugely successful Elden Ring. Yet that game's follow-up, Nightreign, is an online co-op roguelike, while the studio's Switch 2 exclusive Duskbloods has been confirmed as a PvPvE game following its reveal earlier this week at the Nintendo Direct.

In a new interview with Nintendo following the Switch 2 Direct that unveiled The Duskbloods, director Hidetaka Miyazaki said the developer "still intends to actively develop single player focused games" like Elden Ring that "embrace our more traditional style".
