Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) ordered a criminal investigation Wednesday into allegations that educators in the Fairfax County Public School system facilitated abortions. The governor’s office cited reports that school officials arranged and paid for abortions with school funding.

Governor Glenn Youngkin has directed the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation to launch a full criminal probe into allegations that Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) staff arranged for minors to receive abortions without parental consent and potentially used public funds to pay for them.

There are allegations that Fairfax County schools aided two students in receiving abortions without parental consent. FOX 5's Shirin Rajaee reports.
