Two suspects have been arrested after a man was shot and killed as he interrupted a catalytic converter theft in progress outside his Inglewood home.

Inglewood police arrested the two suspects late Thursday evening after executing a search warrant at a motel in the city of Cudahy.

Police said a man was shot dead in Inglewood as he tried to intervene in an attempted catalytic converter theft. Family have identified the man as Juan Sanchez, 48.

The Inglewood Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead Tuesday morning. Police said the shooting took place around 3:22 a.m. on the 1000 block of North Chester Avenue. The man sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and died. Relatives identified the victim as 48-year-old Johnny Sanchez.

The car is described by police as a gold 2002-2006 Toyota Camry four-door sedan with tinted windows and a sunroof. The left front fog light was not working.
