ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The re-trial continues Monday against Kenneth Skeens, the former Albuquerque police officer who is accused of illegally arresting a man at an Albuquerque Target in 2022.
Jurors failed to reach a verdict in April 2024 when Kenneth Skeens, 30, was tried on felony charges of false imprisonment and perjury and a single misdemeanor charge of filing a false police report.
The first trial for Kenneth Skeens ended in a hung jury last April. He was criminally charged for the way he arrested a man, who has a disability, trying to buy a bike at a Target.
