Air traffic controllers in North Dakota failed to warn a US Air Force B-52 bomber about an approaching passenger jet, which was forced to take evasive action to avoid a midair collision, the military claimed.

Delta Air Lines flight 3788 nearly collided with another aircraft as it flew from Minneapolis–St. Paul to Minot, North Dakota.

The pilot on a SkyWest Airlines flight operated by Delta was forced to perform an "aggressive maneuver" to avoid a midair collision with a U.S. Air Force B-52 bomber.
