Anticipation for the Daytona 500 and the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season is rising, but fans will have to wait another week. NASCAR is not racing this weekend to avoid conflict with Super Bowl 59, when the Kansas City Chiefs battle the Philadelphia Eagles.

This year's NASCAR schedule includes Mexico City. Also, New Hampshire returns to the playoffs. Phoenix gets the championship race again.

The 2025 schedule officially begins for all of NASCAR’s national series with Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway. The signature event is the 67th Daytona 500, which will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 16. William Byron is the defending winner of the Cup Series season opener at the 2.5-mile superspeedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
