Under-fire actress Karla Sofia Gascon has made a rare public appearance at a movie awards ceremony as Oscar contender Emilia Perez was named the best French film of the year.

The Prime Minister will meet the Ukrainian president in Downing Street on Saturday afternoon before a conference of European leaders on Sunday.

Doctors said it would take a day or two to evaluate how and if the Friday afternoon episode impacted Francis’s overall clinical condition.

Emergency services were called after the incident at an address in Hounds Gate, Nottingham, shortly after 11.40pm on Friday.
