A search for a man who allegedly stabbed a park ranger at Staunton State Park has been suspended. Investigators said they believe it was a targeted attack and there was no threat to the community. There was no word of an arrest.

Police said the stabbing occurred after a fight broke out at the Travelodge on Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel.
