The 2025 album of the year category might be the most high stakes Grammys race in years. But let’s back up. The category has a little something for everyone this year – from the pink-drenched newcomer Chappell Roan’s velvety vocals in her debut album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” to André 3000’s flute-centric “New Blue Sun.

Grammy Awards are here at last. A few weeks ago, the thought of an awards show in Los Angeles, where entire neighborhoods went up in flames, seemed unthinkable. But the Recording Academy withstood considerable pressure to postpone or even cancel the show in light of this month’s devastating wildfires,

The ceremony, which takes place Sunday before the Grammys telecast, will also raise additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honor first responders.
