KAILUA, Hawaii (KHON2) — A utility pole near a fast food restaurant on Kailua Road was struck down by a motorist on the afternoon of March 7, according to the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation.

In the first crash, a car hit a power pole at Clareville in Wairarapa bringing down power lines across the road on Wednesday morning. Police said the road had reopened on Wednesday afternoon.
