ATLANTA, Georgia. ( WBRC) - The Oklahoma Sooners are coming off of a 6-6 season in 2024, and one of those 6 wins was an upset victory over Alabama in Norman. This year, the Sooners will come to Tuscaloosa looking for a second consecutive upset while the Tide will be looking to avenge last season’s loss.

ATLANTA − For Kalen DeBoer, SEC media days is the kickoff for Alabama football's hopes and dreams in 2025. And while he addressed the Crimson Tide's aspirations in his second season with the program,

Alabama football never lost at home in coach Kalen DeBoer’s first season in Tuscaloosa. The same can’t be said for the road. The Crimson Tide finished 9-4 in 2024, and that includes losses to Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Michigan away from Bryant-Denny Stadium. The loss to the Wolverines occurred in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Alabama defensive tackle LT Overton was one of 197 nominees for the American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team. The nominees will be narrowed to a 23-man final roster in September with 11 FBS members and 11 FCS members and one honorary coach.

Kalen DeBoer knows Alabama didn’t live up to the hype or expectations during the 2024 season. In his first year as head coach after coming over from Washington, DeBoer knew it would be a pressure cooker.
