This year, the Sooners will come to Tuscaloosa looking for a second consecutive upset while the Tide will be looking to avenge last season’s loss.

Alabama football never lost at home in coach Kalen DeBoer’s first season in Tuscaloosa. The same can’t be said for the road. The Crimson Tide finished 9-4 in 2024, and that includes losses to Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Michigan away from Bryant-Denny Stadium. The loss to the Wolverines occurred in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
Alabama defensive tackle LT Overton was one of 197 nominees for the American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team. The nominees will be narrowed to a 23-man final roster in September with 11 FBS members and 11 FCS members and one honorary coach.
