A Morganton pilot and his passenger were injured in a plane crash in Alexander County on Friday.

Teams of four to five students cooked an entrée, side and dessert for the competition using mystery ingredients provided.

No injuries were reported, he said. Brendletown, Salem, West End and Glen Alpine fire departments all responded to the scene along with Burke County REACT and Burke County EMS, Chapman said.
