A 3-foot concrete stand and mauve gazing ball weighing 25 to 30 pounds were removed overnight Sunday from a residence in the 800 block of Stewart Drive and placed in the back of a neighbor’s truck.

A gazing ball and a concrete pedestal were reported stolen from a front yard in the 37000 block of North Academy Drive near Lake Villa. The lawn ornaments are valued at $120, police said.
