Since 1985, the Kentucky Derby Museum has been telling the history of the Kentucky Derby.

The Kentucky Derby Museum offers various tours of Churchill Downs throughout the year even when the track isn’t in session with live racing.

The museum will be closed for renovations beginning in March and will tentatively reopen in October 2025. Admission is free on the second Saturday of the month.
