Dozens of people were hospitalized after a crowded yacht collided with a dock during a birthday celebration.

The Fourth of July is fast approaching, and Springfield’s annual Rock the Dock celebration will be lighting up the skies in central Illinois.

The celebrations will include a community 5K at Oyster Factory Park, a performance by the band Deas-Guyz, an independence day pre-party and a fireworks display in the Historic Old Town Bluffton.
