Visitors to south-central Nebraska hoping to see the legendary author Willa Cather’s hometown now have a new place to stay.

The project led by Magellan Development Group and Hanwha Engineering & Construction would also include apartments.

Gateway Jax this week announced preliminary plans for the Ambassador Hotel property, which first opened in 1924 at 420 North Julia St.
