Mud and debris flows closed roads and prompted evacuations in parts of Southern California recently devastated by wildfires.

A Los Angeles Fire Department vehicle with a member inside was swept into the ocean by a heavy mudslide during the rain in Malibu.

In some recently burned areas, there are feet of mud on the roads.
