A storm that brought widespread snow during the morning commute transitioned to sleet and rain in southern Maine later in the day.

A recent stretch of cold weather, coupled with multiple measurable snow events has residents and visitors glimpsing something that has become increasingly rare.

Cold temps will return to Maine for the next couple of days before our next snowstorm arrives on Thursday. Plowable amounts of snow are expected. Tuesday will feature sunshine, blustery winds, and dropping temperatures. It will be in the 20s by the afternoon and with gusty NW winds it will feel like the single digits.
