Samsung Electronics on Wednesday unveiled its newest flagship smartphone, powered by Qualcomm's chips and Google's artificial-intelligence model, hoping its upgraded AI features can reinvigorate sales and fend off Apple and Chinese rivals.

The new Galaxy S25 line was officially launched at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked today. However, it took Samsung a long time to get to the main event. Unlike previous events where the latest smartphones kicked things off, it took 30 minutes for Samsung to start talking about the S25 and a whole hour to eventually even show off the S25 line.

Samsung’s first Unpacked event of 2025 delivered the Galaxy S25 series — as expected. Although the phones don’t have dramatically upgraded specs, the company stuffed — you guessed it! — more AI into the devices.

The Galaxy S25 series is slated to be announced tomorrow at Unpacked, but we may also get surprise appearances on the wearables side.
