A Texas man was sentenced for smuggling six baby Mexican spider monkeys, too young to be separated from their mothers, into Southern California.

Sarmad Ghaled Dafar was sentenced to four months in custody for smuggling six, rare baby spider monkeys over the Mexican border and attempting to sell them over Facebook, officials said.
