Police were called to the 700 block of East 43rd Street, just west of Cottage Grove Avenue. They found five people wounded at the scene.

A woman was killed and five other people were hurt when gunfire erupted early Sunday at a large gathering in a Chicago neighborhood, according to police.

A 14-year-old boy was shot in the back in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood and hospitalized in good condition. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
